Our Story

There are few things as rewarding as a visit with friends but throw in a farm and some good tea, and you have a recipe for pure bliss. That is what happened with us at Fickle Fan.

In 2007 around the time when "going green" became a thing, we decided to start up an organic health store. And as it goes with all organic matter - especially those named fickle and fanatic we grew in a direction we hadn't intended.

After the short visit with our dear friends, the Smits (owners of OUHUIS Rooibos) on their farm, we knew we had an obligation to bring this delight, grown in their magnificent part of the world, Clanwilliam to the rest of you.

Despite many failed attempts by foreign entities, Rooibos is still only cultivated in South Africa, leaving a large gap, which we joyously took upon ourselves to fill.
